Wood Veneer Dash install

4 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I wanted to post a few photos of my newly veneered dash. I used a walnut veneer with a oil based polyurethane on top. I still have to do the cigarette lighter, the mirror switch and the door window switch plates, however it is too cold to do the cigarette lighter and I can't see how to remove it. The doors and mirror switch will probably be done when I am off next week :) I also have lettering to go back on the HVAC unit. Let me know what you think.

That looks pretty good, kinda rustic. It must have been a long and intricate task.

it looks like a few pieces need just a tiny bit of trimming... but otherwise, it looks pretty damn good. I bet that color wood would look great in a beige interior

Pretty cool! Can't help but think of the dash of my Boston Whaler when looking it over though! LOL!! I guess it's the shine.

I went to my local hobby shop and got train dry transfer lettering. They are on now and look just like before. Just no backlight at night.

The one thing I don't like about these stick ons is, they don't wrap the top center piece. It's cut short.

I made this myself, it is not a stick on kit. I don't like those as well because they are not real wood, and they don't wrap around everything. Everything I made fits on the pieces. I just need to make a few small adjustments so that the line on the heater unit matches the radio cover and the vent.
