Home again

Hi all you SVXers out in SVXland,

Rosie (The Beautiful Naviguesser) and I arrived safely home at approx. 2:30 PM EDT today. I hope everyone who attended the 10th Anniversary SVX Meet had as great a time as we did. I also hope that everyone arrived home safely.

I would like to thank all the SVXers who participated in Lafayette for making this meet a rousing success.

Many thanks to Patrick Circle and the staff at the Homewood Suites & Hampton Inn for all their help and excellent service.

Last but not least, I would like to thank all the wonderful people at SIA for their friendship and gracious hospitality. We deeply appreciate the efforts expended by SIA on our behalf, especially those of Mr. Nagano, Chia, Anne McConnell, and Rick Johnson.

Many thanks

Larry,
All your hard work resulted in a truly wonderful experience for all of us. Without your efforts, I'm sure SIA would not have signed on the way they did. Aredub said it best...you are da man!

All the way back to Indy, my sister spoke of what a great bunch of people belonged to the club and how much it was like a big family (and she didn't hear Aredub's speech either!). Sis was once a high officer of Zeta Tau Alpha, so she knows about such things.

It was great to finally put faces on names that I have chatted with for the last several years. It was wonderful to see so many beautiful examples of our wonderful car.

Thanks again my friend..... :) Don

PS Do you have a mailing address for SIA?

Don,

I think that Aredub was a low officer in Zebra Tau Alpha.:D :D

10 Anniversary Meet

Larry,
Let me say again, you did a great job in bringing all of the meet together. So good to finally meet you and Rosie and all of the truly wonderful people that own our beloved car. It is still amazing to me that so many people in so many age groups and so many different outlooks on life and cars can get together and enjoy each other as we did this past weekend.

Again, GREAT JOB, and thanks for a wonderful weekend!
Harry

Back home

Larry:

Made it home through some of the worst weather I've ever
been in...11 hours of solid downpour. Hail took paint off rear wing...but through it all SVX ran true, proving itself again as
one of the all time great GTcars. Also, Yoko AVS dB tires were
excellent in the foul weather.

I think Nagano San was truly impressed with our group and
its enthusiasm and loyalty for the SVX. Hope this gets back
to the wheelhouse in Japan.

Many thanks to you for all the work in putting together a
truly epic event. And best regards to Rosie.

Dan

Dan,

WOW! I'm glad I decided to stay out West for a few days! Had a blast at the SVX Meet, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in PA visiting my friend. Thanks for the companionship......sorry you had to drive back alone:(

David

p.s. Tire made it home just fine.

Happy Trails to you

Hi Larry, Thanks to You and all who helped make the 10th a great & wonderful time. Pat and I only wish we had more time to meet with all the SVX'ers. Maybe at the next meet. We stayed an extra night and went to see the James Dean memorial.

I will be leaving the network for a while; since after returning from the 10th, I had an interview and accepted a position with the University of Manitoba, faculty of science. I will be leaving the Gov't. Aug.9/02 and handing in my Lap-Top and internet access.

I want to pick-up a lap-top of my own but I must do some research first. I enjoyed the SVX network and will try to get back soon.
Thanks and Happy Trails to all you Subaru SVX'ers.

Ralph & Pat from Wpg. Canada.

Ralph,

I've got a old clunker of a laptop with the modem that can access the internet... I'm not using it, I've had it loaned out for the past 9 months, but it's being returned to me this week...

Interested? Free to a good home. I probably won't get much off eBay anyways.

Eh?

Ralph Gibbs 08-04-2002 08:00 AM

I don't know what to say, wow

Hi Vk, I would welcome a deal like that, I'm not sure how I would get it here to Wpg. perhaps if you sent it COD. or something like that. What Area of TO are you in, I have freinds from Thornhill coming to visit for lunch today. I have relatives in Pickering who might help out. I won't be in TO for at least a year. That is very kind of you to offer me your old lap-top and I really appreciate it.
Bye for now Ralph

:)

Once you're settled in, I'll have to get you to pay a visit to an old friend of mine at the U. of Manitoba, who teaches human anatomy in the med school.
