Bad bearing...or something else?

So I had this prob. since day one, and now that it's almost time to fix it I want to make sure it's the right thing.

Around when I hit 58+ mph a pulsating vibration comes from the rear right wheel. Now before you say "Yes.......it's a bearing", if I let go of gas pedal it goes away and if I tap it or even worse step on it, it comes back in force. The vibration continues until I hit 80+ then it mysteriously goes away -_-

Edit: Also a clicking sound when making U turn or steering in any direction at full tilt. Kind of like a bad axle on a FF but from the rear.

help me.

Mine also vibrates from the rear right wheel. However, I notice this at all speeds. I have taken a look at my rear differential and it has a slow leak so I initially suspected that. But you say your SVX is FF? that makes me interested in what this could be because you don't have the rear axle.

I have no idea.... perhaps an allignment would help.?.

Ah no, my is AWD. What I meant is "if" you would be driving any FF with bad boot/ axle thats same clicking I get from rear on tight slow turns. ;)

Well almost the same, more grinding to it then clicking.....

Have you gotten under it and looked at the boots? If it is them more than likely the boots will be broken open.

Yeah I checked, they look good to me. Oh well, I’ll just have the mechanic figure this one out.

I would doubt it is a cv axle then. It may be as I had one break before the boot did but almost always the boot breaks first.

Hmm... a thought. Have you checked the fluid level in your rear diff? If it's dry and binding that could easily cause the problems you describe.
