No. My car is black mica (92 LSL) and it has little red flecks in it.

Are there any SVX colors that do not have 'undertones' or 'flicks' or whatever they are called? I'm talking pure black, BATMOBILE style?
|
The black that was over the other colors on the 92 didn't have any undertone. (As far as I know). I got a spoiler that came from one of the black tones, and it had an undertone of red. It looked different than the black over pearl white on my 92. :)

Yeah I have the black over white on my SVX and it's totally black on top. My spoiler needs repainted though at the moment.
|
I have been trying to get the proper paint code for that black so I can repaint my spoiler as well. If I find out anything, I will let you know. :)
|
Yeah definitely let me know. Thanks!

All of the paints on the 92's used the mineral Mica in the paint mix, except for the black on top. Someone posted the paint code for the "solid" black, some time back. It was merely the standard "black" for Subaru. You might try doing a search on "black paint."

good old black paint.
so which is harder to keep clean looking, a black (mica) svx or a white (pearl) svx? |
I have had both black and white cars. I have found that white is much easier to keep clean, or at least they look cleaner longer.

My greatest difficulty, on my 80 mile per day round trip, through country roads, is keeping the possum and racoon guts off the quarter panels. Those things really splash when they've been sitting all week, and it rains. :D:D:D |
Randy,
I thought that you had the optional "Possum Pusher" installed. |

The "Possum Pusher" is used for the "Bar B Q" not a car. :D ;) |
