Stainless Exhaust Flanges Order

Anyone interested in a set of stainless exhaust flanges for the EG33? I'm looking at having a set of them cut out at the local laser cutting service. The more the merrier. No cash up front needed, just trying to get an idea of how many sets I should run.

I can also do a run of mild steel head flanges.

Both will be 3/8" thickness 304 SS and 1018 Cold rolled sheet stock.

Did you already talk to them? Waterjet might cost you less for SS. Laser isn't great for reflective metals.

I could make them for you too but again waterjet would probably be 4x faster and have less set up time and thus be cheaper than cnc machined. CNC machined would be more accurate but your tolerances shouldn't be that tight for an exhaust flange.

I haven't had quotes just yet on the stainless flanges. I was trying to estimate a order quantity before I place my order. I'm leaning towards doing mild steel flanges since a mild turbo build seems to make more sense currently.

The laser cutting service that I will be using can do up to 5/8" SS and is right down the road.

5/8" would be a lot better than 3/8. The 3/8" flange will likely pull enough when the tubes are welded to it to have problems sealing. The mild steel will cost you a lot less both in run time and material costs. It will also be cheaper to have welded. You could also buy them ready made from smallcar.
