Knocking sound coming from left front tire

Just a few minutes ago I got into my car to go home from school and a knocking sound is coming from the left front corner of the car. I have no idea of what it is. The engine starts fine and the tranny works fine, its just when I put it in reverse and start to drive, the sound comes. All I did with the car after that was pull back into the parking spot I had and look around to see if anything is broken. I cant see anything but I'm no expert so I could be missing something. Does anyone have any ideas. It drove just fine on the way to school, no funny sounds or anything. Its a '95 L if that makes any difference.

Check the CV Boots for tearing. Check the Sway Bar for tightness.

Could be Ball joints (whatever those things are called under the wheel hub where it connects to the control arm)... Tie Rod end's possibly?

Can you elaborate alittle more on when the sound happens? If you have a video camera and can film it then post it on youtube.com that would help out alot! :)
