Cold Start Problem
 

Whenever I start my car in the cold....it stalls the first time unless i give it some gas right away; however, my car will then spit out what looks like purple smoke for a secomd. Is it burning oil? Any help? Thanks

Need to determine if it's oil or gas. Oil = purple, gas = black. It's possible an injector is leaking gas into a cylinder.

The smoke is purple.

My car does this too when the engine is cold and hasnt been started for hours. It doesnt spout out a purple smoke out the exhaust but does smell rich. When the car hasnt been started for a few days it starts right up with no problems....only when its been down for about 10 -20 hours or so does it give me this issue. The tach will rise and then drop and rise and drop and then even itself out so it can idle. ( cold start)

Well budfreak helped me out alot. Gave me some things to do, which I will try, hopefully this weekend. If it doesnt work ill let u guys know. Thanks
