Surging at Idle

OK, a new problem for me. When I start up the '92, it starts fine, but surges at idle. As soon as I depress the accelerator, all is well. It seems to run fine but continues to surge at idle when I get to the stop light, etc. I think it clears up after about 10 minutes, but not sure. I'll keep an eye on that. It normally idles at about 700, and the surge takes it to about 725-750. Very rhythmic. About 1 sec per surge up and down. Ideas welcome and appeciated.

Mine does the same. I have to replace a cracked vac line in which has a temporary repair.

Sounds like an air or vacuum leak. Have you had the snorkle off of the TB lately? The rubber seal can get twisted when you reinstall it, causing an air leak.

just had a similar problem on my neighbors mazda, I unplugged the TPS and it instantly stopped but through out a CEL, I plugged it back in immediately started surging again and CEL went off. I replaced the TPS and it's good now.
