Nasty gram from my 'former' cell provider..
 

Got a bill from a collections agency about an account I closed 5 years ago.
It was from us cellular.
I PAID the final bill 5 years ago, but got a 'collections' letter on saturday.
I called them and said that I 'disputed' their claim, but was sending them a certified check to keep it off of my credit report.( Been there-done that) It COSTS YOU money!
I got a call from the collections agency requesting a letter saying that, since I paid the bill, that I was no longer disputing the claim.
I told her that I STILL dispute the claim, but paid it to keep it off my credit report.
She asked for the letter again, but I explained to her that she should look at that money as a 'PROTECTIONs racket from the MOB, and I had PAID, even though I didn't OWE anything, to keep them from bashing my credit while we fought it out!
She asked for the letter again.

Are we having a communications breakdown here??

I told her that the only letter that was going to happen here was an " I'm SORRY" letter that her company was going to send with MY REFUND!
I then sent them an e-mail, printed it, attatched it to the 'certified check' , ( with EXTORTION/NOT A VALID DEBT) as the memo, Then sent all the above, ( including the envelope w an 'upside down American Flag', ( the International DISTRESS signal), and a return address of .
EXTORTION VICTIM as a fax.

I then called them to ask if they had recieved my check yet.

I put all the pics, ( letter,e-mail, copy of check, copy of envelope) into the fax machine.
I will send them another e-mail, requesting my refund tonight, will call them at least 5 times tomorrow requesting my refund and will fax them at least 2 times a day, requesting my refund....and will continue doing this untill I tire...

I am goiung to shred all mail 'spam', pick out anything personal, and MAIL it to them.
I will send them at least 20 e-mails over the next month, and 3 faxes per day. the letters will be determined by how much junk mail I get!

I am on OFFENSE!! I have been waiting for someone to 'VENT' on for a LONNNNGGGG time! ( since I paid the bill that I do NOT owe, there is NOTHING they can do to me.)except appoligize and refund the money!

I have to swallow a lot of crap during the course of my day. This is going to be the BEST $75.28 ever spent on entertainement!!!!

I PAID them! this bill came out 2 months AFTER I closed the account.
It has NEVER showed up on my credit report, even though I closed the acct 5 years ago!
I pay my bills. This is EXTORTION!

The only people I owe money to, GET it, as agreed. This is using your credit report as a WEAPON to get money NOT OWED!!!

I ALWAYS pay my bills. That's why my 'score' is over 750. If I allowed this LIE to get roots, my score would drop 100 points! That $75.28 is chump change to what it costs when your score drops 100+ points!

Thank God for the internet! The way it used to be, I coukd scream at a corner or the wife, and it got me nowhere! Now, I have over 2,000 people, HERE, and millions of people elsewhere that will listen and add input!
Give me your stories! I know that I am not the only one that has been beaten up by these 'THIEVES'!! I really need HORROR stories to send to these people.

I KNOW for a fact that MOST of the people that work at these switchboards are 'RELIEFERS' that ride on the vans that I DISPATCH,!( at least here)
They can't get a real job, because they have NO EXPERIENCE. They call people that have a job and are late on payments, and threaten them.

How's THAT for a person that has NO PHONE of their own, because the collections calls would keep them busy for HOURS!

I have printed a copy of the first post for tomorrows 'fax'.
I might even include responces in future faxes... Is anyone ELSE being beaten up by the LIARS that control this country's money???

I'd suggest investing in a solid Everlast heavy bag. (those ones you hang from your ceiling/some sort of strong support beam). It was seriously the best $70 i've spent considering my constant need to vent with crap (such as your experience.. I had a nasty one with a hospital bill :rolleyes: ).

fight the power brotha!! i go though something simailr once a week... (my bank likes to stick me with little extra charges) but i give up after the 30 min phone call

Just got done 'responding' to another e-mail request for info. I gave them the acct number, my name, and where they can SEND MY REFUND and APPOLIGY to.
I might have to call them tomorrow and ask if they got my e mail......and EXTORTION check

My banker TOLD me to do what I am DOING!! ( he used to work for experian, and knows how they are!!) He has re-affirmed what I knew and 'filled in the blanks' on what I didn't know! Under his 'watchfull eye', I brought my report up over 200 points in 14 MONTHS! ( 140 points in 6 months!)

Ever thought of getting an attorney and pursuing litigation under the 'fair debt collection practices act'? Seems like it would be more fruitful.

Just got done DOING that with lowes and nationwide, cost for the lawyer and all I got was the 'truth' on my credit report. yea, they took the lies off. It cost me money to have the lies on there and cost me more to have the lies removed. then I meet some more liars... We don't have a chance!

I looked for 2 years for a lawyer that would even TAKE the case then he told me that the statute of limitations had passed the alloted time to RECOVER, even though the damages were on going...

The only ones protected by the law are the big companies and lawyers and other criminal types......

IF the guv-ment finds them guilty of anything, the fine goes to the guv-ment, NOT the VIC!!!

The only recourse I have is to AVOID those companies in the future and advise my contacts to do the same.

It has been over 2 years since lowes has recieved any of my dollar$, but I have NOT quit buying stuff..

My new motto is " LOWES BLOWES".

Nationwide say's that "Life comes at you fast", but , after I was a customer for 23 years., they choose to 'DAMAGE' me, I know that nationwide comes at you fast! I wouldn't send anyone there!
