My Luck...

Mike the "tranny gremlin" strikes again. The 5mt in my legacy broke today. That leaves me with a big pile of cars that dont run, and no way to get to work! BRILLIANT!

Look on the bright side buddy............

Ok there isn't much of a bright side. But I hope that you get everything situated soon!

ilsegretosvx 11-19-2004 04:11 PM

I'll buy the tranny off the 95for a good price to give you some $$ to get the other fixed;)

Mike,
You're saying the Cavalier isn't running either?
What happened, did you "drop the hammer" at a slightly elevated rpm?:(
Hope things work out quickly for ya!

The tech diagnosed it as a bad input shaft bearing. very unusual.

The cavalier is kept in lancaster (about 5 hour drive away) plus, i would rather die than drive it in the rain or let it sit in a parking lot anywhere.

Mike,
that is weird...what type of bearing is it? I'd think it would only fail if you had some sort of misalignment or a defect in the bearing itself....strange.
Did the tech give you an estimate to replace it?

any word on the $$ damage?

SSSVX 11-20-2004 11:06 PM

everyone seems to have different luck. a fren of mine, all the cars he bought always had engine problems....another fren of mine, all cars he drove no engine problems but always got into accidents or hitting the deer. for me, all cars i have owned not really have any problem and never got into accidents for these yrs.................but sometimes i had back luck at being ticketed.
