Subaru SVX LXI? Silly wizard...you don't know what you're talking about.:p

greggbzz 07-08-2007 05:01 PM

Who has an ebay account?
The most we can do is pester him with questions.

The car looks nice, he does not say what's wrong. The obvious thing is the transmission.

greggbzz 07-08-2007 05:14 PM

You know, I get to thinking about this, and the more it makes me mad. Assuming the car is working fine and in reasonable shape, how on earth do you figure it's worth parting out.

I mean, 20$ for misc. interior junk 30$ for lights, 100$ maybe for good floor mats, all the work removing all this stuff, 1000$ for the motor, IF you have the resources to get it out reasonably and without damage, and it's low millage, and go through the enormous trouble of shipping it. Shipping the seats, all this heavy junk, hours of listing stuff on eBay hassles dealing with all these random people? If I had no emotional attachment to a car, like the SVX and was considering my options in such a situation, uhh.. it take about 2 seconds to realize that I'd rather have 120 hours of my life and 30% less profit.

Assuming it's in good shape, could get you 4500-5000 in one shot. Why the hell would you not just do that?

What a waste.

A bit Weird

I emailed him about parts and everything I asked about was $9.99, $29.99, $39.99, or $99.99
Oh ya plus $9.99 for shipping.
What's with that?
Does he really have the parts? or the car?

ensteele 07-08-2007 06:11 PM

It looked like he would sell the whole car for $3000, but that was confusing too. :o

lhopp77 07-08-2007 07:43 PM

Ebay

I'm going to try to get Ebay to check him out. He is not really selling parts on Ebay--just using is single item listed as a way to advertise the parts and leave his contact address. Problem is that Ebay is not very responsive even when for their own good.

"One of a kind Doors"..... wtf?

Sad to see her in the wrong hands.

ShiuludeSVX 07-08-2007 07:49 PM

Actually, the first time I saw this listing was some 8 or so months ago.

I didn't ever get a bad impression of the lister, and never heard anything bad about the them since then, and have watched on a regular basis.

Of course, on the other side, I have not dealt with them directly, so don't have any feedback for you either.

I tend to give the benefit of the doubt, unless shown, or experience otherwise.

I emailed this guy a while ago for the interior and he told me he only has the drivers and rear seats...wanted something like $200-250. I don't really remember. he seems a lil suspicious

AJ4U2 07-08-2007 09:04 PM

I do believe this was on e-bay awhile back. I am not going to say for sure but 90% heads that way.

It was..I remember the wizard guy that pops up.

ensteele 07-09-2007 12:16 AM

He also states that no parts can be picked up locally. That is not a good sign. :(

Crazy_pilot 07-09-2007 01:44 AM

Actually, what's got me ticked is that you can see a paper floor mat in one picture. These are often used by garages, and put in cars on lots. So unless this car was in the shop recently, I'd guess that this guy found it in a lot, bought it, and now plans on turning a profit by parting it out. Perhaps a blown tranny, but other than that it seems almost perfect.
