The geographic center of the 50 United States is Castle Point, South Dakota.

The geographic center of the 48 contiguous states is on a hog farm in Lebanon, Kansas

This is not a joke. Investigated Google and found the answer

Hey John, look up where the center of the U.S. would be based on POPULATION...

....I bet we were not too far from it. :) Don

Being completely unbiased(yea right) I think we should have the 15th anniv. meet in Carlisle Pennsylvania :D We could have it at the same time of the Import show that we have. Imagine all the moddified import car owners seeing 70+ SVX rolling on by. The Subaru parking area on the fairgrounds would be huge!!!!

:D B.C. :D

Center of Population

O.K...O.K....I found it. The center of U.S. population is...

Mean Population Center of the United States
In 1990: 37°52' North, 91°13' West - 10 miles southeast of Steelville, Crawford County, Missouri

....that's only 368 miles southwest from Lafayette.

...that's pretty close to Carlisle isn't it?

Gone Fishing..

Did you hear??
Subaru execs heard about our 15th anniv meet and are planning to unveil the new SVX at our meet. The best news is since we had so many probelms with our trannys they are going to let us buy a new SVX for half the suggested retail ....

(waiting to see if anyone bites...)

Another vote for Carlisle!!!

I was at this May's Import meet and was discusted by some of the cars there! The Saab club showed up with 50 or so of their "colector" 9000s and 900s (no there wasn't a single one from the 99 era although there were a few earlier models). Not a single Subie there (in the show at least). I was thinking of taking my Brat next year- at least I could run over a Saab or two. It would be wild to see a herd of SVXs hogging up the Saab space. HEE- HEE. Besides, I think they have a drag strip there for the straight line speed demons among us.

My only question is what happened to the Triumphs, MGs Loti and TVRs that made this show great? $6 a person is a rip off to see Saabs.

Me too. Then, I noticed the thread was started in the bronze age.
Anybody seen Bill?

Ron.
