RTV for the oil pump?
 

I am replacing my oil pump. I did the water pump yesterday. I would like to know. Is HIGH Temperature RTV the right stuff to seal the pump to the engine block? The original gasket stuff that was in there is much harder than RTV.

BTW, the old oil seal is very hard and it was starting to cut the crank shaft. (150k)
