how's it done??
can anyone tell me how to do this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...975661636&rd=1 i want to go buy the resistor and do it but not sure where/how? figured i try it just for fun and see what it does. thanks guys, Jason |
Here's what I know:
Before: http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil...u_S./26662.JPG After: http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil...u_S./23435.jpg I had one of the very first scamsistors out there. Don't do it, don't copy it, don't fall for dumb crap like that. |

so it really don't do anything? DAMN. i'd probally be using a much higher wattage resistor than what that looks to be so i could avoid the meltdown if it does anything for power. |
Oh it does things. It raises your idle until the ECU compensates for that, and it raises your shift points slightly, yet rev limits you at 6000 instead of 6500. it just messes a bunch of crap up.
As soon as I installed it I felt a small change, which gradually went away. As soon as I uninstalled it over a year later I felt a very strong change, and it seemed to run better. |
ATTN: THIS UNIT AND IT'S CLONES DO NOT INCREASE POWER.
This was explained in detail by the seller that all it is intended to do is trick your a/f sensor to make better use of your idle and shift map. Unfortunately it does not. The whole prospect of using a simple resistor, nomatter the voltage, will have ill effects on performance in our Subarus. http://www.nextlevelracing.com/ |

DAMN. well screw that idea then. i've got enough problems without all that going on too. |
