There are a few of us here. I am from Glenwood, MD (Western Howard County) but work in Catonsville, Ron Mummert (tsutsuhund) is from Ellicott City, Rufus lives in New Windsor, SvXit from Silver Spring, Justyn from Forestville. I know there are more but I can't recall exactly where they are from. MD members: add your name to this list; it would be nice to be able to search the member database by State (Sith: are ya' listening?)

hello john

Hello john,
Sorry took me little long to reply, just been busy in my studies. I think you were the one who left that sticker on my window. I think I still have it.
I have seen 5 svx in MD yet. I saw one yesterday while driving to CCBC essex, as you get off of exit 32B from I-695. it was near a taco bell. The color of SVX was blue, was that any of you guys ? I have seen two svx with just one owner. I saw it at snowball center at larkbrown center in columbia, MD. He has one 95 green SVX and a 92 Burgendy SVX. DO you know who is that ? I go to CCBC catonsville. One of the faculty members bring a white SVX, I have seen SVX world NET sticker on his car too, do you knwo who is that?? How can I get that window sticker of SVX WORLD NET. I saw one SVX other day at CCBC essex in the parking lot, I don't know who was that?
let's see if we can find out where is everybody in MD.
see you soon John.
ravi.

<------------ Look to the left, Ravi. Most of us have our locations in our profiles. I'm in Owensboro, Kentucky. Canaan Valley is going to be about a ten hour drive for me, but well worth it to meet up with fellow SVXers. Come join us.

Ravi,

Welcome aboard "Starship SVX". Our motto is; " We are always in orbit and never come down to earth."

I live in northern Delaware about an hour above Baltimore.
About 2 weeks ago , during the night of the bad storm, I was driving on I-95 in your area. I finally got on I-695 around Towson.
I'll be passing thru MD on my way to the New Caanan, WV SVX Meet (Snowshoe II) on Fri. , Oct. 19th. Why don't you join us.
BTW What subjects are you taking ? I'm a wizz at calculus and can do LaPlace transforms in my head. (Yeah-right! If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn, NY to sell you):D

hey everybody,
I met john yesterday at my school. It was pretty nice meeting him. I bet everybody is like that in SVX family. I noticed him, he is so exited aobut SVX and helpful. Anyways, I know john is going in Reading II, in PA, who else is going from here. Ron, are you going?? I just saw a blue SVX today at CCBC essex, whose was it ??
anyways, catch you all later, I gotta do some school work.

svxcess 11-02-2001 11:23 AM

I went out yesterday to look at Ravi's 92 SVX. It is the L model, claret and black with a spoiler.
For the most part it is a sound car, needing mainly cosmetic work (Novus on the headlights, some condensation in the tail lights, "wrong way" wheels on half the car and a very dirty (not greasy) engine bay.

I drove it and it seems all seems to be well. Tranny shifts very smoothly (with 120,000 miles on the clock, it was probably replace), no wheel bearing noise, no hesitation upon acceleration. Just a rattling heat shield and an intermittant ABS light on the dash.

Not bad for an inspected SVX bought at auction for $2,400.
Its like buying a reman tranny and having them throw in the SVX for free.

Best wishes on keeping that baby running... but he knows where I am in case of difficulty

hey John, Thanks for the info other day. It was nice. I will get those three wires as soon as possible. I have tests till wednesday. I will come around your probable on thrusday and get dimentions for those wires and the address you got it from. I just heard today some niose in back wheel. Seems like it's bearing, but I can't really tell if it's bearing or not. well, see you thrusday.

Take all of John's advice. He's the local Guru. We're lucky to have him on board. Ron.

hey Ron, You used the word "Guru". I wonder how you know that word. That is a hindi word and "guru" in hindi means "teacher". How did you know that ??

It's just one more word that we "Westerners" have adopted from other languages, to become a part of modern english.
Ron.

I see, anyways, I haven't seen that Lady again yet in that Red SVX. When I see her again, I will tell her to emial you or something??:D

Ron Mummert 11-07-2001 07:53 PM

Yup - e-mail me! Today at 2:30 PM I was headed down Frederick road in Catonsville again when I spotted a "pearlie" approaching me, & I don't think it was John. I couldn't see the driver or license plates.
There must be more SVXes in this area than in most other places.
Ron.
