ok i'm looking in investing into anouther 96 LSi. it has a bad tranny already also engine has been overhauled and has 190000. the price is 1750 body and interior and electronic are mint! what i'm thinking on for the next few years is a supercharger engine from MSW. i'm thinking about a new tranny too. i'm not sure of automatic or 6 speed. i think the 5 speed would be alittle to weak for around 350hp. i'm thinking on the cold air intake, crome wheels from MSW the carbon fiber hood and also the grill and finally the JDM wing. really what i'm asking is what should i do first i want to do a tranny first since the car isn't drivable with out that right now. so would anyone have any ideas on a tranny i was thinking the WRX but i'm not sure. i also heard the SVX in 3 years will be in the classic cars section and would this decrease the value incredably? i mean its just beefing the engine up and maybe a manual swap. i'm not sure someone help me out. i want to keep this car up to date if i get it. and i also want it to be able to take anyone off the line.

I wouldn't consider the SVX an 'investment' car...

...especially one with that many miles on it and problems like that.

I recommend a different car, then. Maybe something with straight-line acceleration as its focus. Not only is the SVX rare, it was not meant to be a drag racer. That doesn't mean it's impossible - you're just not going to be able to do it with bolt-on parts out of Summit.
