stainless steel brake lines?

So i am looking to get some stainless steel brake lines but not sure where to go...After searching the network it appears I've read bad reviews from the ones offered at Motorsport warehouse and apparently raceconcepts doesn't sell them anymore, and the goodridge ones take 4 -6 weeks to make...is there anywhere else to get them?

Thanks in advance, Chris

I had a pleasent experience with irotors and was very happy with the quality of the product.

SVXMAN2001 12-21-2006 05:13 PM

aren't irotors and raceconcepts the same people?

michael 12-21-2006 06:18 PM

Race concepts new lines have changed their designs... The old plastic holders have been replaced with metal ones... Highly recomended after I put them on DanSVX94's pearly

... yeah, I'm really happy with them and the great job Tom did on the installation -- 2 cans of Brakeleen!

I have some from Motorsports and RaceConcepts and I like both sets. I don't think you can go wrong by going to those. :)

I have BOTH Raceconcepts and Mototsports brakelines on some of our SVXi, and have had no problem with either.:) :)
I am happy and proud to install either!
SS lines REALLY help put the pressure to the pads!

If you drive your car hard at all I wouldn't go with the plastic holders. They won't last long at all and the minimal advantage you just gained over good condition rubber ones just cracked with the plastic.;)

TomsSVX 01-16-2007 11:39 AM

thats why I recomended the new race concepts lines, they have metal holders now:)

In all fairness, metal can stress crack or break
as much as plastic due to the rigidity of the
mounting point.
But just FYI, ours have a metal bracket now too
with rubber bushings on them, pretty sweet :)

TomsSVX 01-16-2007 11:57 AM

good to know you have updated your stock Dayle... The problem with the old lines was that the plastic was pretty brittle and asking to be broken. The metal tabs seem to be relatively maliable hence the effort to keep them from snapping
