ok I have being think of going up to the Drag way to see what i get on my car ??? What has evey one got on it?? I'm just about stock But i have tires, light weight rims rottors new lines and pads. If i go up there i'm going to take the back seat out and the Grill too

Budfreak 04-27-2006 10:21 PM

15.5 or slower more than likely.

15.6 with a bad / no launch in a FWD L model. Your lightweight rims and seat removal should bring you pretty close to this

Crazypolo95 04-29-2006 02:03 PM

should the Cars get likt a 15.2 or something like that All stock out

It's Just Eric 04-29-2006 02:19 PM

I think most people are getting about 15.6ish bone stock. The wheels and taking the seats out might get you one or two tenths off
Let us know what you run when you go:)

Short answer...No

Chike holds the current "stock w/4.44 gears" best time of 15.063. The earlier comments about mid to high 15 sec. times are about the best you've got to expect, depending on outside temperature and the condition of the track. Make sure to have the amount of gas in your tank below 1/4 of a tank to get the overall weight down even more.

Good luck! Make sure to post back with your time along with the outside temperature and the actual location of the track you run at.

Are you serious about removing the grille? For the work involved I don't think you will get much of a result from removing the grille. Take out the spare tire and everything else from the trunk. Clean out everything from the interior. I have seen ten pounds of CD's in some cars! Get as much weight out of the car as possible. Since you don't have to worry about tire grip, I would put about 40 psi in all my tires to decrease rolling resistance. Put about 1/4 tank of fresh, 93 octane gasoline in your tank, along with a can of octane booster and be sure your oil is fresh and clean, not overfilled. Clean or replace your air filter. Run a can of injector cleaner through your engine a few days prior to going to the track. Make sure your ATF level is full. One more thing, if you normally drive conservatively, a few days prior drive your car hard, get on it from a stop and let it reprogram the ECU to better suit your needs at the track. Good luck.

Well if I remove the grill that would make me a few gr. lighter and Puls I would get more air into the engine. The gas I use is Shall V-power. I need to run the car allot more before I go up there so it well be ready for the run.

I’m going to run at Alabama's Steel dray way. The thing that I’m trying to go for is bet a 01 Rs Unlike that I will bet him but well see what happenings but you never know

Also need to get the car ready for its first rally cross or a auto X come up On the 7 in Alabama.

The grille weighs virtually nothing and will help airflow none. Remove the turn signal from the passenger side to let cold air get to the airbox. I've found in my experiences so far that my car REALLY likes octane. The more I give it, The better it runs and my MPG goes through the roof. It likes sunoco ultra 94 and when I race I use Chemical X race formula octane booster which takes it to about 100-103 Octane. Last time I did it I got over 260 miles to a half tank of gas and that included 9 passes down the strip and a top speed run on the way home.

i hope everyone understands octane booster goes up by points of octane, like from 93.0 to 93.1, and it is very bad for fuel injectors, it almost likes to clog everything

Take it easy James. They're lots of people who like to race 15 & 16 second n/a Imprezas. Besides, getting an SVX down to the low 15's and even 14's takes a lot of ingenuity and owners should feel proud of their accomplishments!!!!
