What type of fuel connection?
 

I am finally back to working on my engine and I don't have this fuel connection here at the back of the passenger side intake.

I don't have a SVX, just the EG33. Does anybody have a picture of the connection or good description? Thanks

I'm pretty sure that is for the EGR system. Just make a block-off plate and be done with it (don't forget the gasket). I'm in the same boat as you. I'm putting an EG33 into a 911 though. I'm not sure if removing the EGR system will cause issues with the stock engine management though. I'm sure someone will have that answer.

are you talking about the larger hole with two smaller bolt holes surrounding it? thats not for fuel. its part of the ERG system.

Thanks for the quick answers. OK, it's for the EGR. I'm not planning on using the EGR for this build. I'm putting it in a Porsche 914 (it was meant to have a flat 6 in it!). The only downfall I can see without the EGR is maybe slightly higher temps? I thought I read somewhere that with a functioning EGR your engine temps are slightly lower. Either way I'll make a blockoff plate and seal it. Thanks

my car has no EGR.

As long as you are using an ECU from an SVX that is from 1992, there will be no issues with throwing codes

That's great to hear Tom. My engine and ecu are from different cars, but both '92's. Why the 1992 ecu? When you removed your EGR did you notice any increase in engine temp?

no noticable gain in engine temp since the thermostat controls that anyway. The 93+ years have an egr temp sensor that needs to see heat or else it will throw a code
