Some new gold slippers

Some new shoes for the SVX:

I just picked them up from a friend, they're in awesome shape. Very minor curb rash, but it's been touched up with paint or something and is completely invisible until you've got your nose to the wheel.

They won't be on the car until late May/early April. These things will NEVER see road salt. Plus the tires that are coming aren't too snow-friendly. General Exclaim UHP's, 245/40/17. At $91/tire, and the top ratings on tirerack.com, they sound good enough for me!

good choice... Mind weighing those wheels w/o tires for me??

Sure, I'll check tomorrow if I remember. The scale is in my parents room and they're asleep.

Ya, they're going to look awesome! I can't wait for spring now. Well, spring kills my snow racing season, so maybe I can wait.

Weight of 05+ STi BBS rims: 19.2 lbs

Ya! Got stock weight beat by .8 lbs!!

TomsSVX 02-11-2008 07:51 PM

and they look a lot better!!! Thnx for weighing them

Tom

I had been told that they weighed 17.6lbs and when I weighed mine I got just about 17.8lbs

Crazy_pilot 02-12-2008 04:57 PM

Really? I think my scale is accurate, I just re-weighed the rims and tested the scale with several workout weights I had lying around. The scale was off by less that 1 lb on each weight, so I think it's good. I also saw 19-something on NASIOC.

There's a set of BBS wheels on Lisc that are black with red trimmed lip. They look pretty sick, and would look pretty good on an Ebony.

Those would look sexy on my car, just black with no red rings. I want some now....

odepaj 02-12-2008 11:23 PM

They look dead sexy on an ebony :D I know from experience.

245/40/17 for $91?!?!?!

I'm looking to get some Kumho Ecsta SPT's in 225/45/17 for them, the stock RE070's tend to track with things in the road......

Mine may get transfered over to the '95 though (pending the sexiness of them on brilliant red). I've already gotten alot of compliments with them on the ebony though......maybe i'll need a second set.....
