new svx= new PROJECT

ok, so i just bought another 92! the transmission is shot, and it blows lots of pretty blue smoke. so it looks like i have atleast an engine rebuild on my hands! i would love to bore it out 20 over? but idk if they make any pistons, sleves, rods ect. for these engines? if they do can someone point me in the right direction so i can get some of this stuff ordered! websites, stores, ect. i really want to find some performance parts and build one nasty engine.

i would also love to try and configure a turbo setup, and idealy a twin set up but i dont think the twins have ever been done?

i was searching around on here and i found that it is hard to get over 250whp out of these things? i kinda find that hard to believe because they do come with 243ish stock dont they?

any information would be greatly apreciated(spelling)?

thanks, Bobby

Yeah, I figured between 5-7k. I just got to try and find the performance parts I need. I can't seem to find anywhere online for performance parts.

I am currently rebuilding an engine using 11:1 cr pistons, .256 duration cams (dont remember the lift off the top of my head, but 9mm sounds right) ECUtune ECU, and a couple of other small things (Z32 MAF, 550cc injectors). With some luck, I should be close to 300whp. You are limited to 250 horse on the stock ECU (not sure if thats at the crank or wheels) so you have to do something about engine management. ECUtune is probably your cheapest route for that avenue, although the rest of the stuff there is pricey (you get what you pay for though).

Good luck with your engine build, sounds like a fun project...Oh yeah, don't forget to remove the coolant lines on the bottom of the passenger side head when you pull the engine :o. Easy 50 dollar mistake.

Where did you get all your parts at cam? Your pistons, cams, injectors, ect? And do you know if you can shave the heads or are the already close quarters? Can you bore the cylinders and get the right pistons And rods for them as well? I would like to make anywhere between 350-400whp.. But idk how I'm gonna do it.. Is there alot of stuff I can do to these engines?
