SVX poly suspension bushes
Has anyone heard or used Strong-flex polyurethane bushings?
Looks like they do 2 options including 80 shore and 90+ shore for firmer ride. Complete kit avail for SVX including control arms (which I'm in need for, esp left side) for what looks to be about $250 (aus) for 20 bush kit. http://www.strong-flex.eu/images/sto...x_przod_bp.jpg http://www.strong-flex.eu/images/dia...lyurethane.png company is Polish, just wonder if anyone has heard of them before web site http://www.strong-flex.eu/index.php |
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
Mods 271216 and 271217 seem interesting. But the prices are a bit steep in my opinion :o

Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
250 for those 20 bushings is a killer deal. Look at it in a breakdown:
Swaybar bushings are going to run you about $30 per end so $60 Control arm bushings for BOTH sides for any other Subaru ~ $120 Trailing arm bushings will run in the realm of $50-60 Lateral link bushings will run you about $120 or so but I have no seen a lot of people replace those. They usually get aftermarket lateral links. So if you were to buy the above mentioned bushings for an STi you would be out about $350 or so |
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
Your price is a little off, for the softer ones, it would be $298US or about $330 AUS and for the "sport" kit, would be $330US or about $365 AUS. This is for the full kit for the front and rear, perhaps you looked at the price for just the rear kit:)
Edit: would have to add shipping fees in as well Quote:

Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
Well, I might be interested in the control arms bushings only, front and rear.
Maybe if we can organize a group buy thing, we would drive the price further lower... so? |
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
And those /\/\ numbers more closely match what I broke down in my first post. I just would be interested in the control arm bushings and the trailing arm bushings...

Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
I went through with registering and going just before actually ordering, and it seems there are no shipping fees:confused::cool:
I would almost definitely thing they would charge for shipping overseas. BTW, interesting and very cool that you found this |
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
Well, let us do a feeler group buy, list the part numbers that we want and the quantity each, and I will contact them asking for a new quotation/shipping details if you would like to.
EDIT: Nice you got ahold of an email Nate. I thought we can only reach them through phone. |

So for a feeler, put in a full "sport" kit PN 276051A for me Danny. Edit: yeah, Danny, i tried looking through their site for whatever I could find. Figured it would help :) |
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
Nate, someone else should do a group buy and not me. Most of you guys live in the US, I am solo here :D
But I can do the contact if you want. I was thinking just now, just in case shipping to the US was expensive from their part, why not shipping a whole package to someone in the US and he will do the distribution from his side? Well we need to know the total interest from now. |

Just so people know, they take paypal or credit cards only for international customers it appears. Edit: I tried just putting one bushing in the car and checking out and again, no shipping fees which would lead me to believe that you would have to order and get a shipping quote from them through email. At least, thats what I would think. |
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
Ok no prob here, these are all details.
Now we need to know who is interested and who is not. 1- 1986nate: Full Kit Sport (May 2010?) 2- SilverSpear: Control Arms Bushings Sport (Now) 3- ??? I think we need to move this thread to the Group Buy section. |
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
I just got an email from Clint over at Turn in Concepts. He is getting in touch with them and is trying to bring about 5-6 full sets over.
|
Re: SVX poly suspension bushes
And why do we need to settle on 5~6 kits only? Can't he wait a little bit and get a better quote if we can push interest further up?

A group buy might be a good thing, but using another go between US retailer/wholesaler just normally increases the price for obvious reasons. It looks like now is the time to buy with the sale prices indicated. A group buy might not even significantly lower that sale price. Lee |
