Color for painting the fuji rabbit
I'm currently stripping all the parts off to be sand blasted and hope to start painting in the spring. Currently it appears to be a two tone (metalic crap brown and a tan). Take a look at www.fujirabbit.com for pictures of the superflow if interested.
Here's a link to the paint I'd like to get but they don't seem to have much as far as colors go. I'd like to stay two tone but that metalic copper looks inticing as does the metalic teal color. Any thoughts on a decent matching scheme? Don't wanna spend an arm and a leg as it'll cost me probably about a grand just to get it to the point where I can "see" if it'll run. I like the prices here but of course will not need more than a quart of 2 colors so one color would be 1/2 the price. http://www.paintforcars.com/Merchant...c_enamel_paint |
Isn't also called the Vespa?
Either "aep_gunmetal" or "aep_silvermetallic" or "aep_coppermetallic" Good Luck :) |
I think it must be an SVX colour. Black over Pearlie perhaps?

Naw... ya gotta go with Jet Black along with Tangerine Twist... then you can add a slightly modified HD logo and presto!
You got a Harvey Dalidson! :p ;) :D Personally, I like the Candy Apple Red with either white or black :) |
Well I will be painting it myself. Will have a gun and a compressor by then. No real painting experience so I don't want to go too tough I'm told enamel is the way to go (or the old laquer but that's outrageously expensive as it isn't the most enviromentally friendly thing.
Silverspear, how dare you compare a Fuji with any thing from Italy! The Rabbit actually beat the Vespa to production by 6 months by the way and came with things the Vespa of today still doesn't have like electric start and an auto tranny. :D Bipa I thought about red and white too but like the metallic idea as most were new |
Now that I know what it is....
Paint it RED and WHITE, so you can chase Shriners in the parades, ( They all drive Lambrettas )
