White Rims & Misc. Ramblings
 

Most of you know that I purchased 4 white, 17" dia., ICW Racing #DV-8 rims with tires, about 3 mos. ago from Solar SVX.
I finally put them on my '92 pearly last Friday. I like them very much. Heck, even Rosie likes them. I have been driving on them all week and I didn't even need to have them rebalanced.
Last Sunday, I took pictures of the '92 with the white rims sitting in front of Rosie's '94 pearly with stock rims. This afternoon I will get the pictures and I will probabaly post them tonight or tomorrow morning. These photos finally finish the rolls of film from the Reading V Meet. So I will be posting Reading V SVX Meet pictures also (and all of you thought that Reading V was over).

Tomorrow afternoon Rosie and I are going to a local Suby dealership to test drive a new VDC Outback. The salesman called me Wednesday. I wanted to drive the 6 cyl VDC plus the new turbo 4 cyl., but he didn't get any turbos. I'll give my impressions on the OB site and here.

The wheels sound sharp, Larry. I am looking forward to the pics of the Pearly with them. Also looking forward to the Reading pics. I still have some to post and more to be developed when I finish out the roll in the camera. Keep us updated. :)

At first, I thought that it was a picture of Rosie's left hand in your avatar. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the fingernails in the avatar were'nt long enough and that the nail polish wasn't metalflake.

White Rims & Reading V Photos
 

I just added pictures in my locker of the White Rims on SVXY (92 SVX) and also photos from Reading V.

Earl, I put in some photos of the SVX neon sign.
It was great to look at these pictures & relive the memories.

The rims looks awesome! NICE!!! :D

Just My Luck
 

I recently used the tire section calculator on my computer. My boss gave it to me a few months ago (See my locker).
It shows that the OD's of the new white rims with the 215-45-17" tires, are slightly smaller than the stock rims and tires (225-50-16"). That means that my '92 SVX is slightly slower than the speedo indicates. The differential is so small, that it's basically the same speed as stock tires.

Just my luck to increase wheel size and wind up burning more gasoline to go slower. Go figure !!

I love the new rims, Larry! Look really nice on the Pearly. :cool:

Reading pics were nice to see as well! :)

The good news, Larry, is with a slightly smaller tire your gear ratio is numaricly "taller" and your acceleration is better!:)
