Mazda 6 rims will they work?
 

17 inch x 7 inch rim 60 mm offset 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern Hub Size 67mm with 235-45-17 tires. The lug nut specification for the mazda 6 rims are 21mm
12 x 1.5 thread. Will the svx lug nuts work or should I buy after market ones? Thanks for any and all help.

If you get like a +5 spacer then they would be perfect as for the lugs get ones that work on the SVX threads but are made for the wheel (acorn, flat, etc.)

Okay I don't have +5 spacers will the wheels work fine without them? any negative effects I should be worried about? also if the stock wheel offset is 55mm how is adding a 5mm spacer going to help? wouldn't that make the wheel a 65mm offset. Very confused here need more info before buying.

Other way around... The 5mm spacers will push the wheels outwards, effectively making the offset equivalent to stock (i.e. +55mm).

To answer your second question, the Mazda 6 rims are 17x7" w/ +60mm offset, as opposed to the stock wheels which are 16x7.5" with a +55mm offset.

Plug these values into the following wheel offset calculator:

And you will get the following results:

The clearance from strut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 1mm MORE; The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 11mm

Personally, I think they will be fine. They may change your suspension geometry slightly (as the tire 'track' will be narrower), but the most noticeable change will be the way the wheels retract into the body by an additional 11mm per side. The rear wheels on the stock rims are already kinda sunken, this'll make it more noticeable...

P.S. One more thing to think about. If the wheels retract in by an additional 11mm, there may not be enough clearance between the front brake calipers and the inside edge of your wheels! ;)

not to mention it will look dumb. The wheels are only 7 inches wide... 7 in wheels are not really great of an SVX.. I have them now
