please help asap (alternator removal)

sorry for the short notice. can anyone who has removed an svx alternator tell me how to remove the unit from the pulley and belt. i can't see any more bolts to remove. the unit swivels right now on the right bracket that it sits in and thats all. do i need to remove any of the bolts for the pulleys to get the belt loose enough. i haven't messed with the main nut and bolt that runs through the middle. any guidance would be appreciated.

These are the steps for the Alternator removal from the How To Docs...

1. Disconnect battery
2. Remove the plastic shroud over the alternator.
3. Loosen the nut on the left side pulley.
4. Loosen the tension bolt and remove the belt. (Counter clockwise is loosening the tension)
5. Buy a new alternator belt
6. Disconnect the connection at the top left of the alternator
7. Unplug the tan plug in the back left side of the alternator. (there is a little clip that holds it in place.)
8. Remove both bolts that hold alternator on
9. There is one on left side and one on the right side. (Those are the only 2 holding it in place)
10. Rotate the alternator up and down until it comes loose.
Reverse the procedure to install the new one.

Good luck! :)

alternator removed

chiketkd, thanks for the quick response. i finished the removal of the alternator after just following the steps you gave. my starter is out as well and it might be because of the alternator failure. its a lifetime warranty so i'll just go and get another one. thanks again and have a great weekend.
