Didnt think it was possible to make svx alarm remotes exciting? Check out my latest photoshop creation:

Note: the attached file is for apple wide format monitors. If you have a PC, crop the sides off. :)

I hate the SVX remote. It lacks a trunk popper, has pathetic range, looks dumb, and isn't salt water proof. :P

PS: Good job on the Photoshops, both of you! :D

what, you don't like the orange color?!?!?!? :D

i do like it better than our WRX remote. that one has two buttons- one for lock/arm, and another for unlock/disarm. hitting unlock once only does the driver's door - you have to hit it a second time to unlock the other doors. too much B.S., i like the one big dumb 'do-it-all' button we have. :)

You're obviously not trying the 'chin' method. Mine works from REALLY far when I use that.

is it the height that you're holding it (to the chin) that helps, or the fact that your chin reflects the signal towards the car? :D

Green1995SVX 10-08-2003 07:40 AM

It's not the height. I've tried holding the remote in the exact same manner while holding the remote away from my body and it does not significantly help the range. I'm still at a loss as to why this occurs.

so Jay Leno could probably unlock his car from 600 yards?

Theoretically, yes.

This works for more than Just the SVX remotes. I have an aftermarket alarm/keyless entry, and if it doesnt work from where I am, I use the chin method...

DAMN! I jacked my own thread. :(
