Can you deactivate horn beeps from OEM remote locking?

Hello,

Is there a setting/way to deactivate the series of short horn beeps that sound when you lock the doors with the the OEM remotes?

Also, I opened them up (two) to change the batteries and this little black rubber ring fell out of both. Where do they go? I assume a spacer for someplace. They both work fine without them.

Thanks in advance,

Max

No there isn't. When I replaced my stock horns with the Hella Supertones, I added a second relay into the circuit which had the original factory horn relay. Now when I set the alarm, the short pulse of energy is just enough to trip both relays and give a very, very faint beep.

It is a rubber spacer that fits between the back of the circuit board and the rear case. It pushes the circuit board forward so that the switch in the circuit board is close to the arming button on the case.
