Pictures!

Well, I finally got around to making my digital pics "web friendly" (read this as "smaller file size) and have posted them in my locker. Thanks to GreenMarine for his climbing skills in taking the group shots - they should "stitch" together nicely, just haven't had the time to do it myself.
Can't wait for the next meet!!

Great pics, Bill! All except for the one of me. I should've buttoned my shirt to stem the flab tide. Sheesh. Gotta go on that diet I'ven been wanting to go on since high school. :D

By the way, Bill. In that pic with me, you look frightened. Was it something I said? :D:D:D

Nah...

it was just the way Austin was handling (or not handling) the digital camera while he was taking the picture:D

I stuck those group images together. It's pretty crude, but it worked OK. :)

Headline - DENVER PA GAZETTE

April 12, 2003

A crowd of Subaru SVX auto enthusiasts gathered today at the Denver Holiday Inn. Here we see the group crowded around a large puddle of "residue". This reporter asked a member what had happened. The unidentifed gentleman said, "It was so sudden"! "One of our club members pulled up in his nice newly painted bright yellow SVX". Another member, identified only as a Mr. Johnson, "Upon seeing the car, he uh.... well, uh...anyway, after he finished, he ran back to his room". The crowd seemed very impressed with Mr. Johnson's capacity
for self-expression.

I kept thinking that that would be my first and last Reading Meet.... <<I'd turn to get a camera from Joe(AirForce) and fall down the back of the truck.... >> That would suck... I didn't thinkabout the sueface being slick till I got up there and started sliding around some!!!!

Nice speedo shot. What you could'nt take one at 120mph?

SVXRide 05-09-2003 08:39 PM

5 grand at 100 mph...that miata's heart must have been screaming:p
who were you following?

GreenMarine 05-10-2003 11:43 AM

Probably could have taken one at 120mph but at that speed the steering is razor sharp... and wee were going around a curve when that was taken..... That is when Me and SVXFreak were trying to find our way back from dinner..... We just got on the Hiway and played "Who could break the law more.''.... I think that we reached 130mph in the Miata but it was Tach-ing about 6500rpms and I didn't feel like blowing the engine about 500 miles from Greensboro, NC...... Yea the whole 500 miles back to Greensboro I was doing atleast 80mph.... (4000rpms)... Miata's really aren't ment for hiway driving.... But let ba tell ya, That road rally that we did there was amazing!!!! I couldn't slow down long enough to pay attention to the questions!!!! The curves and the hills!!! WOW What a blast in that little convertable!!!!!
