Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
I'm posting this on this forum because I'm sure this is a swap that you guys would appreciate.
First off, I'd like to say that Jack and I have worked at XX Tuning for the last 8 years, in doing so, both Jack and I left to start EFI Logics in Bethel, CT. When Jack came aboard, he brought with him his GC8 Frankenstein ST-2 Track car with him. After loosing the stock EG33/SVX motor at Pocono North race last year due to oil starvation, the car is finally back in action. The car consists of so many one-off hand made parts, including an amazing oil pan made by "Bob The fabricator", in which he also did the head porting. Last year, the car made 285whp and 250wtq with stock shortblock, Custom Ground WEB cams, and ported heads. This year, Jack upped the compression and cubic inches. The build includes: 2000 Subaru RS BBS Brakes all around JIC suspension Custom Rear sway bar Custom Front Sway Bar Cage by Bob the Fabricator Custom Dash with Autometer gauges Engine / Management: EG33 SVX Flat 6 Custom Ported heads Manley Rods Cometic Head gaskets ARP Head studs Custom Web cams Supertec valvetrain w/ BMW Solid buckets Modified Cam gears Custom JE Hich Compression pistons - All machine work done by Larry's Automotive in Stonington, CT. Stock Intake Manifold Custom 8qt Baffled road race pan (Bob the Fabricator) Meziere Electric Waterpump Custom 1 3/4 Headers (Bob The Fabricator) Custom Motor and Tranny mounts Custom Air box (Bob the Fabricator) Custom MSD Ignition Balanced and Blueprinted STIi Injectors by Deatschwerks Autronic SMC Engine Management tuned by EFI Logics Autronic CDI box Custom 5 speed gear box W/ RA Gear set and Cusco Tarmac Center diff from Fizz Autosports There is probably more we are missing, but that is the most of it. The car was tuned today, on our Mustang Dyno, and produced a very impressive 320whp and 276wtq @ 8200rpm, SAE corrected. Dyno Graph (we are working on the bug with it going off the chart). Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
Bob has done a nice job of keeping us in tune with the car and its performance of the past year. Really impressive stuff you guys are doing. Keep it up!!:):)

Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
That is really amazing!
I've been really reconsidering my F/I build for an N/A build. Turbo spool just sounds to good to say no to though  Good luck with it! I hope to see you guys putting down even more power in the future with this! Dustin |

Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
What impressed me most are the works done on the valvetrain... Kudos!

Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
Kudos to these guys....
But this is a RACE motor, it would suck in a street car (but be really fun on a track:D) |
Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
Major props to you guys for doing this..... Any thought on doing slightly less extreme EG33 work for svx owners??

I would need it to be slightly less modified but it looks great! |
Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
Thanks for the updates Chris. Saves me having to type it all out!

Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
Could you give us some additional details regarding what you've done with the coolant system? Almost looks like you've gone with an STi-like set up..
Thanks. -Bill p.s. also interested in how the Stealth HD steering quickener might be incorporated into the SVX's steering |
Re: Our EG33 GC8 Swapped RS..
You said more displacement, but I don't see where you say how you did that. Is the motor a stroker or the block sleeved and bored, or what? Part of the reason I ask, is that I was looking at the different bore/stroke ratios on the different flat-6 motors, and it looks like putting a 3.0 crank into a 3.3 block would give you a 3.5L engine, and I was wondering if the cranks share the same journal sizes and if something like this had ever been done. If anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know.
