Idea: SVX ScreenSaver Need CAD/3D Rendering

I've been wanting to create a really cool SVX screensaver. Not just a slideshow but an animated, technical-looking screensaver with a computer-generated version of the SVX on a grid background with statistics and information popping up. To get an idea of what I'm thinking, go to the MiniUSA website here and take a look (you'll need Flash installed): http://miniusa.com/crm/3d/index.html

THREE ISSUES:

1. IS THERE A 3D SVX FILE OUT THERE ALREADY?
Before I "recreate the wheel", I was wondering if anyone has a detailed 3D image of the SVX. Like a CAD file. Please post a reply here if you know of an SVX CAD file. OR, if you are a gifted CAD artist or know someone who is, I'd also like to know that information. I would be willing to pay for a professional rendering.

2. CROSS-PLATFORM SCREENSAVER
I found a really great screensaver creation utility that takes a Flash file and makes a cross-platform screen saver from it so both Mac users and the various flavors of Windows users will be happy.

3. ANYBODY WILLING TO PAY?
I have downloaded probably 40 demo screen savers and yet I have only paid for one to get the full version (Marine Acquarium at http://www.serenescreen.com/).

I'd like to hear from those interested to see how many would buy it and what you would pay. I'm thinking $20 for what would be a top-of-the-line screen saver.

I'm pretty sure this would be a money-losing project. But I can foresee future projects where having an SVX in a CAD file would be helpful and possibly worth this investment up front.

John,

Looking at your site, I saw some CG images of SVXes under others photos. Can you contact the original owner of the images?

Also, if you find a source, please let me know as well. I have been looking for such a file for a while as well. I hate to do it myself. Otherwise, I'll probably take on the project but I have too many things on my hands right now.

SVX 3D Model

If you can provide me a black and white detailed drawing of the SVX in TOP, SIDE, REAR, FRONT VIEWS. I can model it at home. I class "A" surface for a living. I know programs such as Maya, Studio Tools. I have my own version of Maya at home. If I do this I would like to use the Model and Renderings for my portfolio, and have rights to use when ever I want.

EXCELLENT! I'll get up with you via e-mail. It would be great to get this done.

John,
I've got a 3D model of an XT in AutoCAD you can have to play with, as long as I get a copy when you're done.
It's not perfect, but I was just messing with it in my spare time.

John - a money loosing project? Now there is something that is familiar to you! :D I know that it would be good, because everthing I have see that you have done in the past is #1 quality! I will be the first to say that I would be interested in a copy. Now that probably didn't surprise anyone now did it.

Huck369, I would love to see how you did the XT6. I've been doing some drafting of SVX in 2D flat,

haven't done anything in 3d, but want to try.

...would also like CAD drawings

John, if you could send me the drawings (top side front rear) as well, I'd like to give the 3d model a shot. If anyone else has them out there, I'll take them too! :D

cheers.
