The Newest Ital Desig...

Saw this latest Ital Design in my Road and Track from last month. The 2005 Suzuki Reno:

Kinda looks like a Mazda 3, but I can't help but think that this may be what a modern day Justy might look like.

I really like it, but it's really underpowered, just like every other Suzuki.

we just got one of those at work, apparently when daewoo went out of business they sold all their designs to suzuki, and this is one of them. I forget which one though.

Hyundai, Suzuki, Honda and Nissan are really big in the Caribbean.

P.S. I really like the side and rear design of the Reno. Doesn't look too over-styled and adds a touch of class...

Here's a rather sweet one

The wheels on that are the same ICW's that are on my SVX :D:D:D.... Well kinda.. .Those look like they are gunmetal or something... Mine are silver with a polished lip...

Daewoo didn't go under. GM bought them but didn't buy Daewoo America for the $1 they could've gotten it for. They decided to instead screw all the Daewoo owners and their warranties by not paying the dealerships for work. They claimed that there wasn't a market here for Daewoo and that none would be sold here. 2 months later they announced that in fact they would import Daewoo's just badge them as Suzuki's (which is also another of GMs makes). The Verona was the first.

If you ever see a Daewoo Lanos around it too is a Ital Design car. For an $8k car it doesn't look too bad either. Decent lines esp. when you compare it to the others in the sub $10k price range. At least it isn't some retro POS which everyone seems to wanna do now.

Yeah, the rear does look very mazda 3-ish.

Honestly some Americans are still kinda skeptic about buying a 'Japanese' car. I'm almost positive the Reno would sell even better if badged in the US as the Chevy Reno...

Definately, plus Suzuki isn't exactly one of the top foreign manufacturers
