Hi everyone, glad to be here! I just bought my first SVX recently. It's a 1994 Emerald Green LSi. I'm sure I'll have quite a few questions being that it is also my first car! :)

Welcome, and I hope you're still enthusiastic about this car in another year...

There's no way I would've bought something like an SVX as my first car. Honda or Toyota maybe, but an SVX, nope. You're going to find certain parts are within the realm of "unobtainium", so be prepared.

Definitely a unique car, no doubt about that, and good luck!

That's a beautiful colour. In April I sold my '92 Ebony to a young guy as his first car and he is still loving it with no problems at all.

probably not polo, polo didn't come out til mid 95. Also agree, not the best 1st car

1994 was Emerald Pearl, wish I still had mine.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to take very good care of it. I have classic plates on it, and I'm storing it in the winter. I do have other cars to drive when I don't want to take it out.

I've got a '05 Ford escape 4x4 for the winter. 92' Ford Ranger single cab manual 4 cyl, because why not and it's fun to drive. I dd a 2012 Ford Fusion sport. (Not gonna lie, parents are helping me pay for that one!) :lol: The svx has my heart though!

It is not a WRX
KEEP IT MAINTAINED.
If you only drive it 3,000 miles a year it will last a long time. If you plan on driving it 10,000 a year sell it now before something breaks.

Yes, as far as the wheels go, the rear wheels are backwards.
