I just read svxwannabees post about flying cross country to pick up his first SVX. Now, we've had posts about how far we've all traveled to get our SVXi. I for example only went a pitiful 140 miles (approx.) to get mine, but how many have not made such lengthy trips to get theirs? (i.e. at dealership in home town)


Anyone?

i didn't drive anywhere to get mine my parents gave it to me when i turned 16

0.8 miles. There's a lot right up the road, I was actually going to look at a Mercedes Kompressor my buddy told me about. Ends up it sold the night before and this beautiful car was there instead. Fate? :cool:

I bought mine from a used car dealership about 2 miles from my current residence.

Hmmn, I flew from Greensboro, NC to Newark, NJ to get mine. From there, I drove up into NY just to check NY city out. My wife actually fell into Central Park Lake. I tenderly call her the swamp thing now. Then we drove along the coastline stopping here and there and everywhere just to see what we could see. Atlantic City was good but we didn't win back what I spent on the car. We didn't lose anything either so it was all good. Dropped down to Va beach to visit family and then down on to Myrtle Beach SC. From there we stopped at my house for a break to repair the rear bearings and then onto the Dragon meet. First week that I had it I put 1500 miles on the thing and I'm lovin' every minute of it. I didnt drove anywhere to get my SVX, whereas my previous owner drove it for me all the way from St.Paul,MN to my then place Dayton,OH.

I drove 5 miles to the used car dealership where they had 2 svxs, but the other one was already sold so I had no choice though. Now I wanna have another newer SVX but very hard to find one.

I drove around 150 miles to pick up my '96 at a Jeep dealership in Blacksburg, VA.

From Seattle to Tahoe Lake CA, to Seattle WA, in 3 days. But tha main thing was driving the SVX back with out reverese.
