BRAT on BaT

Re: BRAT on BaT
Very cool and not far from me. I was going to bid on it but they put a $250 hold on your credit card. I don't play that game.

Re: BRAT on BaT
Never buy one os these wihtout crawling up under it first. Unless it has all original paint 100%, you probably are going to find lots of soft spots...hidden under some shiny new paint. If you think finding parts for a SVX is getting to be a chore, the BRAT is more so.
I still own my 85 BRAT and a SVX....neither are DD due to the parts issues |
Re: BRAT on BaT
I bid on cars all the time - can't help myself. Probably drives the CC folks a bit nutty. In fact they started sending me all kinds of "you're preapproved!!!" junk shortly after the BaT bug bit me. I even bought a car from there! It was local so I could go see it in person.
The cool thing about the site is that you can ask questions. Do you think it might have hidden rust? Ask for pictures, or ask about specific locations where you think rust might be. It's not eBay, far from it. Sellers tend to be very responsive. If they're not they tend not to get bids! |
Re: BRAT on BaT
If the Brat has been in Quebec any length of time there will be rust unless it has been hermetically sealed. In the winter the roads are white even when it doesn't snow because of all the salt they use.
