KeylessRide replacement remote

Had my factory keyless entry remote stop working in my 92 the other week even after replacing the battery. So after searching the forums for a factory replacement I found keylessride.com. They currently have 2 replacement choices for our SVX: a similar square FOB w/2 buttons and a round FOB w/2 buttons. I choose the round remote and the total for me was $45 shipped. Its similar in weight and a slightly thinner profile. It comes with programming directions specifically for the SVX, has a red indicator light, and both buttons do the same function after programming them to the SVX. Pic below shows the size reference.

So far it functions the same as the old remote. No added range unfortunately. Worth purchase in my opinion.

I have several of the rectangular ones and they work great. If you want extra range, point the fob at your chin and it will add range. Try it, it works. :)

Doesn't that only work if you have a steel plate in your head or shrapnel?:D

It isn't required, but it helps. :)

Does anyone have programing instruction for the keylessride remote? I can not find my instructions to reprogram it after a long shutdown.

Programing instructions in the How-to documents HERE

They are the same for the OEM and keylessride remotes.

Got it. Thanks for the info, now it seems my security system is stuck on on and will not go off when the switch is pushed. When/if I get that problem solved I will have what I need to program the remote.:(

Thanks again

Usually a steady ON red LED is a sign of a security module which has died. :(

I know i should not be piggy backing off some else thread, but I don't have a remote for my 92. Is there anyway for getting a FOB that works and can be programmed:confused:?

If you have the original security system installed and a red light on the dash that works, you can just order a keylessride remote and follow the programming instructions.

You don't need to have the original remote.
