cheap subie parts
I am looking for new timing belt and water pump. Anyone find a good online / dealers who offer decent prices on these parts?
Thanks! |
I bought my timing belt, alternator, floor mats, spark plugs and some other stuff from 1stsubaruparts.com. I don't know if they're still open. Their were some shenanigans with the shipping, but the price and the parts were right.

1stsubaruparts no longer exists, unfortunately.
I bought my timing belt and water pump from subaruparts.com. Luckily, it was when Scott was still there and they were having an "internet sale." Got my TB for 69.00. I think they're around 100.00 at subaruparts.com. You might do a search on "subie gal." Todd Hipskey posted info on perphaps purchasing some inexpensive parts from her shop. By the way, good to see ya 'round, Mr. Kim. Don't be a stranger. :D |
Aredubjay - thanks for the info and kind words. I guess I have been away for some time. Good to be back and good to see familiar names :)

BTW, I was in the KC area last weekend. Wish I could've made prior arrangements to meet up, but, since the week was so crazy anyway, It probably wouldn't have worked out. Not to mention I was in the Johnson Family Truckster and would've been embarrassed to visit SVXers. :D:D:D |
SBKim,
Glad to hear from you. Happy New Year. Larry III (used to be Larry iii on Yahoo) |

What in the Sam Hill is up with the prices of O2 Sensors. The OE style Bosch are almost as expensive as the OE sensors! 89.99 at Autozone, 91.91 At Subaruparts.com. Cheapest I found was at Expressautoparts.com for 80.75. I found some relatively inexpensive replacements made by Walker at (love this address) oxygensensors.com :) (64.99 for direct fit, 39.95 for universal), but, DANG! I can get a universal 3-wire with self cleaning platinum tip from JCW for 53.99.
I think I'm gonna start ridin' a horse. Hay's cheaper, even though it'll give me about the same amount of sh!t. :D:D:D |
Randy,
Be thankful your 92 has only 2 O2 sensors. Later models, like my 97, have a 3rd O2 sensor mounted on the cat converter. This is the expensive one at $140 at my dealership. |
