MAF (Mass air flow) sensor

a while back I thought I hear stories of SVX owners using MAF sensors from other Subarus. If this is so, who did it, did it work, and what make/modle did you take it from? Was it a 2.2 or a 2.5 liter motor? My MAF has gone belly up and I am hesitant to order a new one. Would much rather limp it along on somethign else for one last year.

Hmm.. not that I know the differences or similarities of the MAF sensors from the different Subaru engines, but I do know that the stock MAF is calibrated a certain way. If you change anything about it, it will give the stock ECU the wrong info about how much fuel to add to the mixture.

certain year legacy and 2.5rs maf sensors will work(same readout) and are similiar in size. Useing the search button chris should be quite helpfull!!! :D

The sensor is calibrated with voltage, which is ALL that it sends to the ECU, im posotive that all subarus read out the same voltage.
