alarm wire?

anyone know what wire comes out of the factory alarm box and goes to the horn? i have "freeway blaster" horns in place of the stock ones, but the alarm chirps don't have enough 'oomph' to give a decent chirp through the blasters. i wanted to get a dedicated horn for the alarm so i can actually hear if my car locks/unlocks.

thanks!

pin #16 goes to the horn relay from the OEM security box. Make sure you use a relay as this line can't drive the horn by itself.

do you know where the horn relay is? wire color? i don't want to trace it from the trunk if possible. thanks, Lee. :)

have never seen or touched it personally.

see attached and hope it helps. Let me know if you can't open pdf files.

edit: BTW, it's the same pin (#16) for the 92 I have with the module behind the glove box. I put in an aftermarket security systems so I use the siren chirp and never had to look for it.

thanks, Lee - that was exactly what i needed! i'll be looking for a white/red wire going to the horn relay. :)

the WRX 'chirps' are so loud, i try not to lock the car until i'm far away - the sound hurts your frickin' ears! the SVX, on the other hand, you can barely hear. hopefully i can get that corrected now.
