Knock Sensors
I just checked my engine codes and got a 22 and 28. I was wondering what bad knock sensors will do? If anyone has any? and how complicated they are to put replace? Thanks

Re: Knock Sensors
If you need to change out either of your knock sensors it is best if you remove the alternator, (after removing the -terminal from the battery)
to give better access.:) If you need to replace the #1 knock sensor on the passenger side it is also helpful to remove the power steering pump. http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/use...svxfiles|23592 |
Re: Knock Sensors
They are pretty simple to replace if you have the hands of a 5 year old, just one bolt and a plug and they are out. Unfortunately they are buried under the intake manifold and are a little tough to get to with normal sized hands and tools. It can be done without removing the manifold, it just takes time and patience.
Here is where they are located http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil..._suby/4100.jpg |
