2000 Kawasaki ZR-7. "Naked" sport tourer. Not as fast as a Ninja, but ALOT more comfortable, especially for my 6' 1/2" frame. :) I rode a 2005 Yamaha YZF-R6 Raven, and it was insanely fast, but cramped. This one fits me really nice.

Nice looking bike!
I need to ride again! My old Ninja 900 was 10 seconds, 145 mph, and 30 mpg! Not all at the same time of course. |
Tom, live to ride, ride to live. I have more fun in an afternoon riding then zipping around in a car. I just wish there were less idiots who THINK they can drive. We should have motorcycle only roads, or at least lanes.

My scooter here is probably > 30 secs in 1/4, 65mph max but is hard to beat the nearly 100mpg. Today, my neighbor let me ride his brandnew Suzuki 400 dirt bike. It's too high for me and also him. Nice-looking bike...:) |
that's a very cool-looking bike. i'd sport it (if i rode :D ).
|
sport it? The ZR-7 was only available here in 2000. In 2001 they changed to the ZR-7S which has a mini fairing instead of just the single headlight.

my dad had an all black Triumph Daytona 1200 that was also a cool, mean-looking, but not too flashy bike i liked. |
I almost bought one of those couple weeks ago.
That will be my choice or BMW R series. Congrats ,may it serve you well! |
OK, thanks Alan. It also doesn't draw the attention the R6 did, which is a good thing. It's an air cooled 738cc 4 cylinder. It rides alot nicer then my 651cc "Thumper" single. The ZR-7 is about 75 or so HP. The KLX is up to 55 or so with recent mods. The R6 was around 109, but really cramped. Plus this is half the cost of the R6 to insure. No plastic and doesn't have the "crotch rocket" stigma. $192 a year for both, liability only.
