Alternate MAF question

I've seen many threads mentioning using a Z32 MAF as a performance alternative to the stock unit. Has anyone explored the idea of using a MAF from a GM LT1? The stock F-Body units are 3 1/2" and the B-Body units are 3". I have a 3" MAF from a Caprice cop car LT1 that I swapped into my Datsun 240Z. I replaced it with a 3 1/2" unit so the smaller one is just rattling around in my garage.
Does anyone know how this size compares to the stock and Z32 MAFs?
I know the ECU chip would require a reflash so I can't just plug it in but I think these GM MAFs are probably much cheaper then the Z32 units.

I guess you're not going to get an answer. Basically I would guess the Nissan part is a close fit and the ECUTune software was designed to work for it.

Mentions that the LT1 maf sensor has a voltage range of 0-5 volts.

From screwing around trying to fit an SVX maf sensor my XT6--> http://xt6.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t...ght=maf+sensor the folks here sent me voltage information about the SVX maf sensor. See below:
"B60-5 is signal from the MAF 0-.3v w/ ignition on, .8-1.2 idling
b60-6 is ground
b60-4 has no connection shown in the fsm
B60-11 supplies 13-14V to the MAF at idle"

If I understand this right, the SVX maf sensor voltage reading range is not the same range as the LT1 maf sensor's voltage so it will not work.
