Door noise?
 

This is not a big deal, but does your SVX's door makes huge noise when you open?
There are two main door hinges, and in between those, there is another thing to hold the door. Seems like that thing makes kinda cracking(or glinding) noise twice when I open the door all the way. I put grease on it, but it didn't help.

Anyone having same situation? Is this common thing? Passenger side door is OK though.

Look for rust, and get some WD-40.

edit: My passenger side used to do it.

That's actually what I did before.. didn't help.
And I found out some dealer said don't do that because WD40 will drain out the grease that was in.

Anyway, did you solve the problem with that WD40 method?

Yeah it's fine now.
If the thing was greased properly it wouldn't be making the noise in the first place.
I sprayed it down, opened and closed the door a lot, left it alone a few days, sprayed it again, opened and closed it, left it alone, now it's silent.
It's just temporary though.
I think there is actually something wrong with the door hinge because there is slight resistance when opening it.
It feels like it's scraping something, and it has always felt like that.

Yeah mine makes alot of noise too....i think grease is the trick...when i get time im going to grease the door down and see what my results are.

Yeah, "scraping" feeling too. I wanted to feel how it was like when it was new.
