Bedliner?

Came across this, and found it amusing. I think it's pretty neat, though I wouldn't do it to any vehicle I owned.

the color kills it for me. The color reminds me of those people who put on their body kits and don't paint them for 2 years

It might work for him, but that completely destroys it's resale value. I think it looks really bad.

Yep! that's an idiot, or as we call em around here - a dorkfish:lol:

Something tells me the novelty is gonna wear out real quick. Especially if he tries to sell it. Can you say "no resale value"? :D

Might be worthwhile if you have a teal. On the plus side, no more fender benders!

Do they do this at MAACO? That might change the odds drastically.

i think a flat black would look much better

esp. if it was smooth and not all bumpy.... i like the durability factor

Re: Bedliner?

I've been holding back on this thread, but I'll chime in. I always wanted to do this on my old Legacy L with the rocker panels. Give it a Outback-ish look, and keep the rock scrapes off the paint. Coupled with some steel bumpers and a lift it would have been great. But that was an off road vehicle, the Audi did nothing to deserve this foul treatment. On an SVX... not a chance. I saw the same thing (whole body coated) on a bob-tailed Toyota SR5 PU out on the trails, and was amazed by it's look and durability. Again: off road only. If you want your car to look good, and not cause a rash, I would stay away. But if you want your car to resemble a tank, I say go for it.

It looks like they took the time to do it right, theft deterrent? Dropped on his head as a kid? From a third story window? I wanted to try it on a Jeep Wagoner, but I couldn't sell it anyway, so what the heck...

I know, he is a wood worker and never could find the sandpaper, now he just goes and rubs his wood on his car!

I think that's illegal in some states.
