Door Lock Problems
Tried to unlock the driver side door with the key this morning & it wouldn't turn. It doesn't unlock from the inside either. Any suggestions?

Re: Door Lock Problems
The door lock servo is causing the problem. First, remove power to the door locks either by pulling the fuse or by disconnecting the battery. Then try to lock/unlock it.
If that doesn't solve it, you'll have to pull the door skin off to get into the servo and replace it. |
Re: Door Lock Problems
Removing power to the door lock did the trick. Guess its time to replace the servo. Thanks for the help.

Re: Door Lock Problems
I had the same issue, and I just swapped fuses, even though the one in it didn't look blown. Tarded, I know.

Re: Door Lock Problems
My pass side one was frozen up when I bought the car. I just pulled it out and used the locks manually. Canadian SVXii never came with the remote security system anyway, so I'd still have to unlock my doors manually.

Re: Door Lock Problems
While were on the subject of door lock problems, riddle me this Batman. When the alarm sets the locks sometimes go down and sometimes they don't. Sometimes one goes down while the other does not. Maybe needs some kind of lubrication somewhere:confused: It really is a scary thing when I come out in the morning to find out that the doors were unlocked all night:eek:
