inside wear on both sides

Alignment frequency probably has more to do with the type of roads you drive (and curbs and potholes you encounter) than elapsed mileage, but I know having a 4-wheel alignment done on the SVX I bought recently did wonders for that car's disposition.

It is recommended to have an alignment done every year and rotate your tires every other oil change. Sears has a six month warrenty on their alignment, before the end of the sixth month have them re-check it, this way it will be ok for the year.

that is a great idea, the rear is alignable...?

While you are at it, check to see if your rear strut mounts have rotted away. That would cause the rear end to drop an inch or so, effecting camber.

An alignment usually includes all four wheels.

Via the lateral link bars.... they have offset bolts for alignment purposes

4 wheel alignment info

Renton Subaru in the Seattle WA area does lifetime alignments (once a year) for an original cost of about $117.00 Possible other dealers do something like that as well. Be careful at dealers though. Some have a way of "finding" things that we don't really need at a price that we really don't want to pay. I got a dealer price of $700.00 to replace my ball joints the other day so I just picked them up for about $130 total and took an hour to replace both in my garage with just a floor jack!   Good luck

Re: Rear wheel alignment

Had 4 new tires mounted today. Front end alignment was good. The rear alignment could not be done due to siezed bolts that could not be removed due to being un moveable. Anyone experience this condition?

I need new bolts to replace the frozen originals so the rear wheels can be aligned. Anyone have the part numbers of the bolts?
