This is for an Impreza, but the procedure is identical for an SVX. All you need is a 20ton shop press ($150), a bearing separator ($20), and some large diameter metal items (I used sockets, as did the guy in this how to)

The only difference is that on an SVX rear bearing, you don't have to mess with any ball joints. Instead you have to unbolt lateral and trailing links.
