has anyone else had this problem?

my svx makes a rumbling noise and shakes/vibrates when i make turns at slow speeds, and sometimes when i accelerate from stopping., sometimes it rumbles a lot and sometimes only a little. other than that it drives like a dream. my mechanics say it's either the rear differentials or the transfer clutches in the transmission(probably both) or the trans. all together.

has anyone else had this problem? if so could you please share what it was and what you did about that.....thank you

Welcome to the site!

Can you tell what general area of the car the noises are coming from?
Does it sound like a mount of some sort?

noise

i'm not sure exactly where, my mechanic seemed to think it was from the back left side, he was checking the wheel, i feel it when i'm driving, like from the steering wheel, -my power steering fluid is full- i did check that.

mine is doing that. Check rear wheel speed sensor.

Do a search on "torquebind".

I'm in the process of fixing my binding problem. I'll be getting my car back with new Pirelli tires today. But I want to make sure my tires are all the same size, make, and have the correct pressures before I fully investigate. I need to check my TPS yet also. I'm still suspecting transfer clutches though.

yup, mine does the same...gonna hopefully do a 5-speed swap and replace whatever it is thats shot-the rear diff. if it's that right?

i feel your pain, i've been driving mine like that for a while :(
