How to remove exhaust?

I am postin for my friend (svxsubaru1) and we just took the exhaust off today, well kinda. We have everything off, disconnected from the exhaust manifolds, but we cant get the rear part to fall down (where the tips and muffler are at. They just hit up against a wall behind where the tips are. How can you get it to fall down?

If you pull it off the rubber hangers, you can slide it forward or backward (I forget) to get it off. Its not hard. Did you disconnect it from the center pipe?

I tried to pull my entire exhaust system out in one piece, and eventually decided to separate it where the muffler meets the pipe. Both sections still weighed a ton, but it was much easier to put the muffler in by itself than try to wrestle the entire system in at once.

Good luck.

Yeah, better to do it in pieces. It doesn't weigh 150 lbs, but it sure feels like it when under the car. :-)
