Exhaust hangers are bad!
 

Well, today I had my oil changed, and when the car was up I was looking around to see if I could find any issues. Well, the only thing that stuck out to me is that the exhaust hangers before the resonator... (if I remember right)... are shot. Both sides are broken. So where can I get new ones? And how much of an issue could it cause if I dont get it fixed soon? I have no idea how long they have been like this, its my first time seeing the car up in the air. -Dennis

you should be able to get them from a lot of places, there's generics you can get, you could fab your own, hell, i've seen clothes hangers on exhausts. Are you talking about the middle ones or the ones towards the end? If hte middle, i'd say you should be alirght for a bit, but get it fixed eventually. THe end, the weight of the muffler could hang down allowing hot exhaust tips to touch the rear bumper cover, which could melt it.

They are the ones in the middle. Thanks for the info, when I get some more time, Ill ask around some shops.

I was checking those out the other day (at least the rear ones) and it looks like the Kartboy hangers go right on.

Are those a brand? I am not familiar with those.

Yeah - Kartboy brand stuff is one of the better known and well respected scooby products over on the impreza side. He's been around since 99 or so.
